Thanks to the receipt of a grant from the Office for Victims of Crime, United States Department of Justice, Civil Society, can now launch Minnesota Human Trafficking Watch. The Watch is a group of people and agencies who are concerned about sex and labor trafficking going on in the State of Minnesota. The Watch coordinate trainings, conduct public education and outreach, provide comprehensive services to victims of trafficking, and collaborate with law enforcement to make sure that trafficking victims receive resources they need to be safe.
Civil Society is pleased to announce that in September 2006, we were awarded an outreach grant from the United States Office of Special Counsel (OSC). This grant has enabled Civil Society to provide education about I-9 employment documentation discrimination to employers and employees throughout Minnesota.
If you are an organization that works with potential employees who may experience document discrimination or an employer who would like to learn more about this topic, please contact Civil Society at 651-402-8868.
